I haven't posted for a while. Lazy me. I'm actually really only posting now to put off finishing the horrendously boring uni stuff I have to do. It's and introduction to an online system we have to use and it's completely pointless. *sigh*

I've been back in Australia for about 3 weeks now. Though it feels like longer. I jumped right back into things so I haven't been too bored. I started uni this year and it's been a fairly slow start so it hasn't been that interesting yet. I have 8am maths lectures 5 days a week which is just lovely.

Anyway, that's it really... my life aint that exciting.

Today was the last day of exchange. We finished school and my class wrote things all over the board for me it was really sweet.

After school Mara, Maddi, Helen and I went to karaoke. We sang loudly but mostly on key and drank too much soft drink. There is photo evidence :) A highlight of the evening was when the lyrics for Oh blah Di, Oh blah dah said "Oh blah Di, Oh blah dah, life goes on, Bra".

I'm going to stay with my parentals in the hotel tomorrow. We're meeting at 12 and then my host family and real family are having lunch together.

I'll post a preper entry explaning what has happened in the last week when I haven't posted. I'll try for Saturday evening or maybe Sunday. We'll see...

    <lj:music>Radio I</lj:music>

It was back to school on the 7th :( not so cool but bearable. And it's a public Holiday on Monday woot long weekend! Anyway, Again a brief rundown of the interveneing week

3rd Jan: Went shopping with Helen and Mara. We met at Kintetsu Passe in Nagoya at 10 but Helen was late so Mara and I started browsing and met up with her a bit later. It was the first day of the Grand Bazaar which was 30~50% off everthing. It was packed! They'd stopped the escalators going up, probably because the hordes of people (mostly young women and girls) Surging up them was dangerouse with them moving. Shopping really is a contact sport and the girls in Japan throw themselves bodily into it. I bought some awesome red heels and two tops. Mara bought two tops fromt eh same shop and Helen bought a dress, also from the same shop, Glad News.

Once we'd finished at Passe we caught the sub to Sakae and wandered around there as well. We visited a department store with lots of subculture brands like Baby the Stars Shine Bright, which is lolita clothes, and Black Peace Now, which sells goth and goth-loli stuff. We didn't buy anything there as the brabded stuff is all quite expensive. I was picked up back at Passe by Hiro and Yu and we went to this awsome cheap junk shop. It's like red dot only bigger and filled with more stuff, they sell more food there and some stuff which is actually useful :) I boght a cool nightmare before christmas bag, a pretty belt which probably needs more holes and some lollies. They had the giant Meiji bars of chocolate so I had to buy one of them as well of course :D OM NOM NOM!!!

4th Jan: Shopping again! We met up at Kanayama this time and it was Mara who was a bit late. Helen and I perused the drug store cosmetics while we waited :) We caught the sub to Sakae again. We were planning to go to Parco and then Osu. We got a bit lost looking for Parco though. Not properly lost, we knew our way back to where we had come from ended up walking in the wrong direction for Parco. In the end we retraced our steps and got there easily once we'd figured it out. We went to Parco at about lunch time, thereby missing the lunch rush and doing our shopping in a bit of a lull. There is a Glad News in Parco so we had a look there to see if they had the red boots. They didn't so it looks like I wont be able to find another pair :(

We had lunch at Maccas, mostly because it was the closest place and we couldn't be bothered walking any further. It was still really busy but not as full as it had been aroung 12:30 We had to wait for a place to set after getting our food but thankfull it didn't take long for a place to clear. After lunch we walked to Osu, but we stopped to take プリ(puri-photobooth pics) on the way at a games centre. We took three lots, and were very silly in them. It was fun! :D After that we continued onwards to Osu. Osu is a big semi out dors mall with lots of cheaper stuff and little shops along it. Last time I went it was open, but now there is a roof over it. I haven't been there for about 3 years though and it still is basicly just an open street.

Mara and I bought some cool skirts, two distressed punky ones and a more lolita style black skirt with a high waist and ribbon lacing down the front. Helen waited for us while we tried them on and played clothes rack. She didn't mind though as the shop was playing Maroon 5 so she was ensconced in her own personal happy place. We walked all the way up and then back down browsing the shops before we came back to where we started. Helen had been looking for boots and ended up buying a pair from the shoe shop next to where we bought the skirts. After that we parted ways at the sub station, Mara and Helen going one way to get back to 金山 (kanayama) While I caught the train in the other direction back to Sakae to gatch the bus home. Once off the train I followed Yu's directions and the signage to get to the bus stop and caught a bus home without mishap. I met Yu at the bus stop at the other end and we walked back to the apartment together. It was a fun day and I was knackerd at the end of it :)

5th/6th Jan: I spent the next two days at home reading and doing all of the holiday homework :( it wasnit too bad, I didn't have much homework so I did almost all of it in one day and just finished a few last bits on the bus on the way to school the next day :)

7th Jan: Back to school :( It was only a half day and we had no classes just assembly, cleaning and checking to make sure no one had dyed their hair over the holidays. I know weird! All the students had to have their hair checked but the exchange students didn't so we just hung around with everybody while they were waiting and talked. After school had finished Yu, her friedn Tomomi and I went to the nearby Coco's curry house for lunch. Twas yummy!

8th Jan: We visited the other campus on the 8th. All of the exchange students spent the day from 2nd to 6th period in a non international course class. Not all of us were at the other campus but most of us were an classes 1-6 to 1-10 which were at the other campus. We were all a bit silly, it was the Melbourne girls second last day at school and they were all a bit snap happy. This suited the Japanese students who took lots of photos too. Or posed lots for other peoples photos :) Leona and I were together in 1-10 and teh girls were all very nice. We had a little party in 6th period. There is a tatami room between to the coridors and we played a card game and ate おかし(snackfood) and talked. Leona and I were given tehe card games as presents when we left which was very nice of them. When we left on the bus lots of randoms were taking photos of us, it was a bit odd but funny :)

9th Jan: There was something wrong with the trains in the morning so lots of people were late. We had gashou inthe morning with about 10 people. Everyone filtered in during first period and by 2nd all the class was there. Fairly stock standered boring day at school. I wrote postcards back home which I neen to post now. After school Mara, Helen, Leah and I went to the post office near the school as Mara and I needed cash. After that we met up with some of the other exchange students and went to a near by shoping centre to take プリ it was only a little shopping centre and there was only one プリ machine so we took turns. It was mostly a time filler. Helen and I caught the train to Nagoya when we were done and the others dispearsed, to buy food or go back to school. I left Helen at Nagoya where I got off the meet Yu and Helen continued on to Kanayama. I met Yu and Tomomi at the big golden clock in the station and we went to do some window shopping at Passe. once we'd finished Tomomi went to catch the train home and Yu and I went towards the bus stop. We bought chips from Maccas on the way and then stopped at the 100円 shop to buy somethings. We ate our chips while waiting for the bus. It was fairly late by the time we got home and it was shower, dinner, bed for me.

10th Jan: Yu, Hiro and I visited Jazz Dream Nagashima together. It's a big outlet store like Habour Town except bagger and flashier with lots of international brands. It's next to a big amesemwnt park with a HUGE rollar coaster. Mara's been there before, I think she rode on the rollar coaster. We just went to the shops, though I didn't buy anything. While we were there we saw a street performer, he juggled with fire and did a chair stack. He was good, I've seen people do the juggling moves before but not with fire, and he didn't drop a club once. He worked the crowd well and even did the joke where he can't put out the club because he keeps swapping the one he's just put out to the hand with the still lit club. :) it's heartening to see that some things are still the same :)

Having to finish this fast as Hiro wants to use the computer...

Love and Sqiggles
Brenna

at 11:30 on New Year's Eve Yu, Hiro and I all went down to the local temple. We joined the line to ring the bell at midnight (somewhere close anyway) and waited around. We had the countdown while we were in the line, and everybody counted down with the big projection they had up. I've got some good photos of me with the bell and a short video of Hiro ringing it. Once we'd rung te bell we went to have some of the food on offer. We had red bean soup with mochi balls in it wich was yummy, sweet and warm. We ate it standing around the fire which was lit outside. After the soup we had a warm, sweet drink made from rice, I can't remember what it was called, but it was good.

We went into the Temple proper next. We filled out little paper wishes, we had to fill out our name and age and write a wish for the new year. There was also some text which we traced over and a sticky note which we also wrote out names on. The wishes were collected up and then we took part in a ceremony, which I think is for purification or something similar. There were three temple atendees or monks, I'm not sure which, who carried out eh ceremony. They chanted to a drum beat, and then we got a sort of patting down on out back and shoulders while we were still kneeling. When they had finished that we got little good luck charms with our names that we had written on sticky notes attached to them.

We hung around for a little bit after that. There was a little games set up with a ring toss and air rifle. The guy running the game just kept moving us forward till we were right up at the game and couldn't have lost even if we'd tried :) Yu and I both came away with lots of snackfood. We went home after that but didn't go to bed straight away and it was after 3am before I was in bed.

We all slept late on New Year's day and had breakfast at about 12. It was a traditional new year soup with veges, beef and mochi. I had some toast as well though. Something happened at the apartment block behind us and they had a fire engine and ambulance there, I don't know what happened but hety brought someone out on a stretcher and took them away.

In the afternoon we went to Yu's aunts house. We had a big spread with traditional new year's dishes as well as other western foodstuffs like chips. There was soo much food. We started with sake from a gougeous laquer pot with matching cups. It was poured anticlockwise, you poured for the next person. You had to pour it in three tips of the pot. We had a toast after that and then ate! And eat we did there was soo much food. The uncle has pretty good english and has traveled to lots of places for his work. He insisted I try a little bit of everything, except a few things which I knew I didn't like. He also kept getting Yu and i to try the sake and pressed more on us despite the fact that you need to be 20 in Japan to drink. He was very funny, aparently Nagoya Castle and Nagoya Dome are his houses, hut he prefers to live somewhere smaller so rents htem out :D once we'd finished most of the food we played old maid. We played three rounds. I was third finished in the first round, but lost the other two. After we'd finished that I taught Yu snap and go fish. We eventually left at around 8.

We had to get up early this morning as we were going to the new year's sales to buy fukubukoro, which are sale bags with a variaty of stuff in them. sort of luck a lucky dip, but more consistent. Each brand or shop does them, usually a 5000 yen and a 1000 yen bag. The shop opened at 7:30 and we got up at 6 to get there and line up. We were finished by 8:30 and then caught the subway to Yu's grandfather's house where all of the family were meeting later.

Hiro has 4 siblings so with all of them and some of their offspring there was a large group at the Grandfather's house. We had yakiniku for lunch, which is kind off like the Japanese equivilant of a barbeque. You have a large hot plate/grill in the middle of the table amd platters of veges and meat to cook on it. Then it's a bit of a free for all. It's good fun and really yummy. I love it <3

Later in the afternoon Yu and I went with the Hiro's eldest sister to look at a kimono. It's for the ceremony when children turn 20 and legaly become adults. Yu is the eldest girl among her cousins so her aunt is glad she can lend it to someone. It's gorgeous, and I managed to get some nice photos of it on the hanger.

I'm going shopping with Mara and Helen tomorrow so I'll go to bed soon as those two will wear me out tomorrow.

Love and Squiggles
Brenna

I went with her to listen to her band jam. It's her and a guitarist, they're a blues band called Manekineko 6:34 Blues. We listened to CDs and they played some songs for me. They are playing live on Jan 11th and I'm going to see them then as well.

Christmas day was slow, I read and faffed about online. Then spent some time talking to the parentals on the phone and then to Dad online.

26th- another slow day. Yu and I went grocery shopping. We all went out for dinner together to Denny's. Desert was an epic chocolate sunday. I took pitures :D

27th- Went window shopping in the early afternoon and then went to see Yu's friend in a jazz concert. She plays with her university's jazz orchestra.
We went to Kyoto today, it was lots of fun. Had to be at school at 8:15 to leave at 8:30 so it was a bit of an early start. There were 43 of us so we filled up the bus :) We were silly on the way there, we started cam-whoring on the bus and didn't stop till it was time to go home :) so there's a pic spam on fb.

We visited the 金閣寺(golden pavilion) first. It was a bit wet but not overly so and it wasn't actually raining. We took pictures wandered around and had a laugh. Mara and I bought good luck charms, Mara bought lots for her friends, but I just got one little one. We ended up falling behind a bit, and being chivvied along by one of the teachers accompanying us. We lost Mara near the end, Helen, Maddi and I went on ahead to the bus, but Mara didn't come for another few minutes. She was with Chelsea and Arianne, though so it wasn't so bad, they were just a bit late back to the bus.

We drove on to Kyomizu temple at 12 so we were quite hungry by the time we got there. We all went up to the temple together as we had to get our tickets and go in as a group. We didn't spend that long looking at the temple as we were all hungry and wanted to eat sooner rather than later. we did however take more pictures, including an big group photo that would have been easier if Shizuka sensei, who was taking the photo, had about 5 extra hands to hold everybody's cameras. We went up to the little walkway with the two stones at either end. the idea is to try and walk from one to the other with your eyes closed. If you make it without tripping or bumping into someone you are supposed to have good luck in love. We all managed the walk fine though Helen and Maddi took a less direct route and walked in a large curve. We had a quick further wander and then headed out of the temple into the shopping precinct outside to buy some food. We ended up walking almost all the way back to the bus in search of a restaurant.

After lunch we had 1/2 an hour left before we had to be back at the bus. We went to buy stuff from the shops nearby. Helen bought her special black sesame seed okashi (snacks or sweets), Mara, helen and Maddi all bought cute useless dangly knick knacks, and i bought some more edibles and two pairs of origami earrings. One each for Mara and I. There is a pair of fans and a Pair of cranes. They are very beautiful. We then had a little time left and Helen went to buy black sesame icecream while the rest of us bought crepes. They were yummy but only Maddi finished hers. Mara and I ate them on the bus but were too full to finish.

The ride home was more subdued than the trip there as everyone was worn out. Mara and I listened to kings of Leon together. It's late and I'm tired so I'll post again soon with the other things I've been doing.

Love and Sqiggles
Brenna

Ok I got the date of my move wrong. I changed host families last sunday, we drove to a shopping mall near Nagoya and met my new host family there. That mean I only spent 10 days with the Fujimotos but my new host family are nice as well. There are just two of them, a father and daughter, as the parents are divorced. I'm the sixth exchange student they've hosted. And they have a pet ferret he is called Stone, he's very cute and ferrety.

We had cooking at school on Tuesday, we made miso udon and decorated a cake. Our cake decorations pretty much consisted of putting everything on though, I have pictures! :)
The boys made bacon and egg burgers, they were double layer though... so very big. It was sooo much fun and I ate so much.

Yesterday I went to Tea ceremony clum with Yu my new host sister, it was fun. We were served mochi and red bean paste cakes, and ocha. Although it was still the traditional ceremony (just a practice though) they used a kettle insted of the metal urns that are part of the ceremony. They still had the urns but hot water was poured into the bamboo ladle while it was being held over the urn. I thought it was interesting.

This is the last week of this term and then we have winter holidays for about 2 or 3 weeks, I can't remember exactly at the moment. We'll be visiting Kyoto on the 22nd and I'm quite excited it was lots of fun last time. We're going to have a little Christmas party on the 23rd, Mara is coming and we'll have lots of yummy food. ^__________^

I'm going shopping in Nagoya on Saturday after school should be fun! It also means I can buy a new camera YAY!

Love and Squiggles
Brenna

Apologies to all and sundry who care that I haven't updated with anything useful in a week. I've been busy and there have been network problems.

Some of the students from the international program at Seirinkan put on a production of the Sound of Music. My host sister was helping with teching (I think she was holding up a set piece) so she had rehearsals the past few days which meant I had to wait for her to finish. Thurs and Fri evening till 8 fri morning at 7:30 and Sat morning before the actual play at 1:30. So it's been a busy few days and a knackered Brenna.

We had The Christmas party on thursday afternoon. They finished school after lunch so that we could have it. :) there was lots of yummy food, and drink. We played a mass bingo game, and I won a pair of hello kitty chopsticks. There was a big gift exchange, Mara received a pen and some highlighters, and I got food so we were both pretty happy. The gift Mara put in went to one of the male teachers. He had been leaving but hadn't collected his present so he was called back to open it and everyone was watching. It was Mara's gift and those of us who knew started laughing as soon as we saw it. Everyone else started when he opened the gift because it was a little pink girly diary :P

Saturday afternoon we watched the sound of music. They were performing it at Tsushima Town Hall, there were quite a lot of people there to see it and not all of them from the school, entry was free so people just showed up. Quite a few of the other exchange students cam as well, so we sat together. It was a good production, slightly edited as the sound of music is ridiculously long. Their diction and vowels could do with some practise (too much Ms Williamson) but that's to be expected it's their second language and none of them have had any training. It was very entertaining, and a pleasure to watch them perform. Afterwards they had to pack up and bump out, so the three off us who had to wait for our host sisters hung around outside. Then we walked back to Seirinkan and tided up there before eating lots of food as some of the teachers had bought all of this stuff to eat. It was good fun.

I'm moving families next weekend, it's a bit sad as I have only been with the Fujimotos for a week and a bit so far and will only get to stay for just over two weeks. I'm sure the next family will be nice as well.

In other not so joyful news my camera, bought just before I left has conked it :( if we could please have a moment of aggravated silence before getting mad at it's lifeless shell.
***
there is a problem with the lens, when I turned it on something didn't work so now the lens is stuck partially out and it just keeps telling me 'lens error, restart camera' but it does that when I restart it as well. Apparently it's a common problem with cannons, and my warranty is not valid outside of Australia and New Zealand *headdesk* it looks like I'm going to have to buy a new camera if I hope to take any photos.

Enough of my electronics related rant, I hope you are all well.

Love and Squiggles
Brenna

After the horror that is a plane flight in the middle of the night I am now in Japan.

It was raining when we got to Nagoya but only a little bit. Customs wasn't an issue, though they have finger print scans and i.d. photos now, that were'nt there three years ago. We were met at the airport by Ogawa Sensei. There were 5 MLC Melbourne students as well as the three of us from perth. We packed all of the luggage into one car and Ogawa Sensei and one of the melbourne girls went with it. The rest of us went with the other teach who had come to meet us, I don't know his name. We had a van with seats in the back but I ended up putting them up as the teacher couldn't work out how to do it. This amused me slightly as he was the one who could read the stickers with instructions.

At Seirinkan we all got together in the library and Shizuka Sensei, who runs the exchange program, told us what was going to happen. We then were talked at by Seth, one of the native speaker english teachers. He's from scotland and speaks german and french as well as english but no japanese. He doesn't have much of a scottish accent, I think it's been eroded by all the years overseas and the second languages. He does rattle on though :)

My host sister is called Ayaka Fujimoto, she is 18 and in class 2-2 which is second year, equivilant to year 11. She had something on after school so I had to wait for her. One of the other girls from plc had to wait as well so we sat in the library listeing to music and dozing till 7:30 when we went home. Got home, had dinner showered and went to bed. I was very tired I'd been awake for over 32 hours.

Had school again today, but only a half day so it wasn't too bad. We catch the train to school, Ayaka's mum gives us a lift to the station. We transfer trains at Kanayama station, but it's an easy transfer, from one line to the other but on the same platform. It takes about an hour I think but I didn't pat attention to the time so I'm not quite sure.

So far I've seen quite a few people I knew before. I saw Ayaka (Ito, who came to perth) yesterday which was lovely, and Kaori, who I stayed with last time came up to 2-2, she said she and Sally might visit the classroom on monday. Which would be great! I also saw to other girls who I was in class with last time and they remembered me and I them so it was good.

It is good to be able to see Mara, although she is in a first year class she is just down the hall from my classroom so I can talk to her at lunch and during breaks. The other exchange students that I've met are all nice but I haven't met them all yet.

I'm getting all the usual Kawaii! comments, which irks me despite the fact I knew it would happen and that they truly mean it as a complement. But having everyone comment on my cuteness almost as if I'm not there everytime I do something gets under my skin. I just won't wear pigtails ;)

Love and Squiggles
Brenna

Last weekend I had my circus show. It was so much awesome. We re-used the table sliding act from swashbuckle with a few minor changes, and instead of being pirates and sailors we were dressed as clowns. For the girls this meant unitards in a number of bright colours, with contrasting flares and flowers. Mine was lime green with purple flares and a had a pink sparkly wig. The boys had big loose clown suits, but we all had clown wigs, as well as rosy cheeks and red noeses. As well as table sliding we had a pyramids act and I had a solo trapeze act. There was an adults show on Saturday, a kids show Sunday afternoon and teens show Sunday evening. On Saturday evening I helped out with door duties and I worked the spotlight for the second half of the show. Our group acts were in both of the Sunday shows and my trapeze act was int eh evening. It was to What's New Pussy Cat and I was dressed up as a cat. It was lots of fun, and fake eyelashes look very cool indeed!

I'm hoping to were the cat outfit again to a friend's 18th party, the theme is a character from a book, and I was thinking of going as puss in boots, I just need to buy some black kinky boots, and then i can go as some sort of modern puss in boots. I want to get a little gun as well, the kind that women used to keep in their hand bags or in a thigh holster.

On an unrelated note, I went for a walk around the river this morning with a friend, it was glorious weather. Though I was quite tired due to my busy w/e and the fact that I was up late last night because we were having a Blackadder marathon. It was worth it though.

I'm still tired even though I slept in this morning, and I'll go to bed early tonight because I have o be at work at 7:30 tomorrow morning. Unfortunately even though it is Thursday to morrow I do not have circus, because it id the school holidays, but on the 17th we are all going on a circus camp an I am looking forward to that very much, I will probably end up helping out as I am the oldest of the kids going by a few years. I like helping though so I do not mind.

Today I'm going to my friends house and we are going to do some baking. Last wednesday we made chocolate chip biscuits, read Tamora Pierce and played Rabbids on her nintendo ds. It was a fun day. We also got rained on when we went to the shops but it's only water.

And on Sunday I went to see Circus Joseph Ashton with the show class from circus. The money we raised was enough to buy us tickets to see Silver's Circus and Joseph Ashton. They were both really good except the magician in Silver's Dragged on a bit in parts, they had this terribly contrived peter pan act which was lame and boring, but the rest of the show was good. One of the Ashton Boys had a really good slack rope act, it was cool. Joseph Ashton also have their flying trapeze act, it was really good. Flying Trapeze always looks awesome, and the Ashtons did it very well. Both Shows had plenty of sparkles. We got to talk to some of the performers and have a look around afterwards, which was cool. We were asked to come and help bump out on the monday at the Ashton's, but I worked all Monday and couldn't help. But they were up in Joondalup so I don't know how I would of gotten there, Mum or Dad would have needed to give me a lift.

I also need to find or make a cat tail. I had one but I've lost it, I have a set of ears but no tail. It's for a costume for a mega cabaret at the end of june, so I have a few weeks to make the tail.

And on Saturday I'm seeing my friends from school again, I haven't seen them since the beginning of may so it will be very good to see them again, were going for mexican. PC Andy it totally under used by the writers. So yeah, excuse my obsession with this show, Doctor Who had better come out soon after Torchwood ends or I might go into withdrawal. A new show might help but i don't think anything can properly take it's place.

Monday and Tuesday I am doing nothing but then I'm busy till next Monday odd that. easter w/e is the Fremantle street arts festival and I'm performing in it with circus so I have rehearsals fri and sat, before the show on sunday.
The last time I posted an entry I was still in exams, it feels like ages since then, though it is only a fem months. Anyway exams done for good, and this year so far I have done very little, I spent most days watching videos until recently. Now I have a job though which means that I can't do the all day marathons where i watch a whole series, in two days or less. It's probably a good thing.

Being finished with school is good, but I miss the learning, I did my sisters maths homework, not for her, I'm not that nice, but I did it FOR FUN.

We have a show coming up for circus on Easter Sunday, it's part of the street arts festival in freo, so I am looking forward to that. The show is awesome, it's called Swashbuckle and I get to be a pirate. i and another girl have a dance off on stilts which is great fun. bootylicious while on stilts dressed as a pirate and a sailor, what could be better.

My torrent for Torchwood 2x09 is being slow so we can't watch it yet. *pout*

I had my Applicable Maths exam this morning, it was okay but I didn't finish it all. I have Chem tomorrow morning, and Calc the day after that. unfortunately it's in the afternoon *sigh* and all my friends have finished or chem is there last exam. But circus starts again on thurs so I have that straight after my calc exam.
Circus=Good

At the moment I'm supposed to be studying for chem, but I just can't concentrate my eyes are tired and I'm tired, and it's just not working very well at the moment.

also,
I'm going to see The Stems. It's a bit naughty as it is during my TEE but it's okay with my parentals, they're coming too, 'cause The Stems are cool and 'cause my mum's cousin is the bass player.
So thats cool. ^^

so it's starting to get summery here again this means
- I can wear shorts, though seeing as I wore them all last winter that's not saying much
- I can go to the beach, but not till I finish exams
- getting closer to that illusive neverending school holiday

Yeah well I'm stuck in my room studying and it sucks

In other news- ie. not whingeing- I got a new hair cut, it has layers so for the first time in my life my hair doesn't weigh a tonne, though it is slightly disconcerting when I rum my fingers through my hair and it's not all there. *oh noes* ^^

And its 39 days until it's all over, on that 39th day I get out of my physics exam which is my last TEE exam, and then I and my friendys (those who do physics at least) are going to buy icecream, lots of it. And go to the beach.

And then it's no more school *happy dance*

But anyway I need to do some japanese study so that I don't bomb out on the exam.

I haven't posted anything is ages, because I am a slack bugger. oh well.
as the subjects suggests I have more important things to be doing at the moment, like studying for the exams I have in a week, exactly. I have 2 weeks of mocks then a week and a 1/2 break then I start my TEE.

So I am writing this instead of doing my physics, which would be so much easier if I just did it with the vector calculus instead of the equations a motion because it is just neater that way. and nobody will have any idea about what I just wrote because it is truly weird and I am such a nerd. or as y dad puts it I have "an affinity for calculus" most people tell me I'm crazy when I say I like calc and then tend to assume I'm doing well in my other maths, which I'm not. Oh Well.

On a less nerdy note I had auditions for NICA last sunday. Now I'm being all circus freaky, but anyway. I am kinda sore, my shoulders were stiff on monday and then monday night I think I must of slept funny, cause my left shoulder was fine, but my right is quite ouchy indeed. But it shall go away.

And to complete my geekyness I shall now have a moments silence for series 3 of Doctor Who which ended a few weeks ago on australian tv. And I miss it, and want desperately to see torchwood, except it was on tv a while back on channel 10 and we missed recording it. We can get the dvds of one of my dad's work friends but I can't watch it until 6 weeks time when I finish school waaaah.
But I have been all geeky online so it kinda fills the void ^_^

LOVE + SQUIGGLES
Brenna

    <lj:music>Kisschasy-Opinions won't keep you warm at night</lj:music>

Cirque Du Soleil are in perth at the moment and I went to see them last thursday and it was so cool. Varekai is filled with colour and wonderful acts. They had foot juggling, and foot juggling is very cool, one person tosses the other in the air with their feet. check them out on youtube just search for varekai and videos of most of the acts come up. The foot juggling is called icarian games. Another really cool piece was the tissue acts that icarus the little white guy did. They had a net instead of the usual material used and it allowed for some way cool stuffs. The tripple trapeze act is very nice, it was wonderfully coreographed and the 4 girls worked really well together. I wish I was that good *sigh*. The arial straps had so much awesomeness, it's twin brothers and they work so well together, it's beautiful, and the strength required is phenomanal, and they have it. The costumes are so cool, they are all wonderful colours, and all sorts of weird creatures. The clowning was really good and provided a lightheartedness which was not very prevalent in Alegria or Quidam. It was a good act, and one of the clowns is an australian. so we have our representitive there. I am a bit dissapointed thet I did not get to se the aerial hoop act. My friend who went a few days before me said she saw it, yet it was not on the night that I went or that another friend went. But it was so cool anyway. I bought a way cool singlet except it does not fit very well, which is another annoyance, but if I have to my father and I can adaptit so that it does fit, so that is not a huge loss.

anyway, circus-way cool. The homework I should be doing-much less cooler

So long
Brenna

So woot 3/4 hour bus ride. But it should be fun.

and I am seeing the 5th harry potter movie tomorrow my friendys and I are dressing up to see it which is muchly cool. WHo doesn't like an excuse to wear a cloak out in public. ^_^

and in other news I made myself a speccy new icon *points* and the uber speccy thing is that is me in the photo *everybody swoons at uber speccyness*

and I am almost out of chai tea and must go and by some more from oxfam *nods*
